Three Hufftastic Years!

Today was our three year anniversary! It’s been such a wonderful three years. Our marriage started out with the wedding of my dreams, and despite a few hiccups was followed by a honeymoon I could only have dreamed of.

I have to admit, we actually forgot today was our anniversary. Whoops! I got the mail and saw that we had a card from both my parents and Dave’s mom. My immediate thought was, “what holiday is in July?” As we opened the envelopes I was wracking my brain trying to think of why we would coincidentally get something from both of them on the same day. Duh.

My spaciness continued when I read our friends’ blog, friends who we met on our honeymoon, friends who were also on their honeymoon. I read their blog and thought, “wow, today’s their anniversary too? weird!” Double Duh.

We celebrated by going out to dinner just the three of us, which we think we haven’t done before. It was fun, and our food was fantastic. We went to a restaurant we’d been to once before, and the food was just as good as we remembered and the service improved greatly. Peyton ate all the pears out of my salad and was a perfect gentleman all through dinner.

We’ve spent the rest of the night drinking fancy champagne and watching Flipping Out and So You Think You Can Dance. Fun! For all you unmarried people, that’s the crazy kind of time you can look forward to on your leather anniversary.
